Feature: Making a Cuban Cigar?
Step: 1- Blend Tabacco Leaves
Our Cuban Cigars are a combination of tabacco leaves from different regions of Cuba. These leaves are called "fillers". Fillers of various strengths - strong, medium or mild - are usually blended to produce desired cigar flavors . This is referred to as a "blend". We pride ourselves in making a smooth blend that our customers keep coming back for. One cigar and you will keep coming back too.
Step: 2 - The Press
After the cigars are rolled they are one end is cut clean and they are put into molds that hold 10 cigars. The molds are closed and put into a press, tightened and left for 45 minutes. Each cigar is then rotated 90 degrees and pressed for another 45 minutes.
Step: 3
Cuban cigar rollers then wrap the cigar in a special tabacco leaf to give it a pleasing outer appearance. This "wrapper" leaf is cut with a special knife at the pointed end of the cigar.
